Delaware started its full-scale sports gaming operation after it was authorized by Gov. John Caney, following the Supreme Court’s ruling that restricts single-game betting to Nevada. Online gambling as an alternative
Online sports gaming is gaining popularity, even before the Covid-19 virus stirred almost every part of the globe, and it attracted many land-based sports bettors. According to a survey, the US household owns an average of 11 connected devices and three or more mobile phones. Easy access to these gadgets adds to the popularity of online gaming. The fast development of software and apps paired with the rapid arrival of new devices in the market made online gaming more popular.
Online sports gaming attracts younger players compared to actual sports betting events. A survey showed that during the last 12 months, more than two-thirds of online sports bettors are males, and half of it is between 23 to 34 years old.
David Beaudoin, a professor at Lavalle University, confessed that he started betting in online sports betting platforms since he was a teenager in the late ’80s. He believed that advances in technology made sports gambling more engaging and relaxing since there is no need to travel to gain access to sports events and games that gamblers want to join.
